At the last minute I was convinced to go and spectate at Tough Mudder. Turned out to be brilliant. Imagine a real-life Wipe Out without American banter. Thousands of people of all shapes and sizes being engulfed by mud, smoke and electricity.
No one was officially timed. It wasn’t a race. Many of the obstacles forced friends and strangers to help each other out. I went there expecting to be indifferent and walked out feeling like I wanted to join in.
My boss summed it up best, ‘Probably one of the raddest things I’ve ever done’.
